Do You Need an Article Writing Coach

As a prolific online article writer, many new writers ask if I will be their mentor to help them along with their writing. Of course, I can't help out everyone, and thus, I have only taken on a few. There are a couple of reasons I've done this, one is that I realize that you actually learn more when you teach, so it has also helps my own writing skills, next it helps me to answer these questions, because it gives me new things to write about, and new strategies to increase my own efficiency. Okay so let's talk about this for second shall we?

Do you need a writing coach to help with your online article authoring? I don't believe you actually do, you see, I never had one myself, and I think most of this is really in the mind of the writer - just as I think writers block or creative fog is also in the brain, in other words it doesn't exist. Of course, if you believe something exists, and you can fool yourself, then it does exist for you. If you believe you can't, you're obviously right, and if you believe you need a coach to help you through the day, maybe you do as a crutch.

Still, I would submit to you that you don't actually need a coach to help you with your writing, rather you need to think in a more systematic way, I know that's hard for many creative individuals, and a good many writers are in that left brain thinking mode. If you will treat your online article writing more as a Six Sigma Manufacturing process, you will get more done in a day, and you will have more time to spend on your editing to help tighten up those articles when you are completed. I've had some writers tell me that they can't do it that way because it breaks the creative flow.

I disagree, it's never happened like that for me, but then again if you believe that you can only do something a certain way, then you're never going to have the opportunity to learn something new. If you refuse to learn something new, and you aren't listening to perhaps the advice in this article, or even thinking about it, then what good is a coach going to do for you anyway. No, I don't think you need a coach, what you need is to develop a set of goals, strength of character, and become committed to the cause of online article writing. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
